Your local encrypted password vault

Passwords replaces the Favorites shortcut in the bottom toolbar. Notes favorites are still available through Notes filters. Tap Unlock Passwords and authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. Add login names, websites, usernames, passwords, categories and notes. Use Generate strong password when creating a new login.

The details that matter

This version is local-only: no cloud sync, vault export or recovery, passkeys, breach monitoring or system-wide AutoFill. Your encryption key requires the device passcode and stays in this device’s Keychain; removing the passcode, losing the device or deleting app data can make the vault inaccessible. It locks when leaving Passwords, when the app becomes inactive/backgrounded, and after five minutes without a save. Copied values are local-only and expire after 45 seconds. Deleting an account removes its local vault; other accounts are separate.
